An image with the Mercian Labels logo at the top left and the Mercian Zero logo at the top right, with the words ‘It’s free to join our Label Liner Recycling Programme’ in white text on a mid green background across the width towards the top of the image. Below that in black text on a white background are the words 'Contact our team to find out about recycling your label liner waste and how we can turn it back into new label liner or paper'. To the right of this is an image of a large reel of partly unfurled blank label liner sat on a clean and shiny factory floor. Beneath all of this - across the width of the full image are the words 'Reduce. Reuse, Recycle.'

Make a difference – Join our Label Liner Recycling Programme

At Mercian Labels, we are committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact; as we’re sure you are too; which is why we are inviting all of our customers to join our Closed Loop Label Liner Recycling Programme, designed to turn what is usually a waste by-product of the labelling process into valuable, recyclable material.

Here’s why you should join:

  • It’s free to join
  • Reduce waste: Your used label liner can be recycled into new release liner or transformed into recycled paper, saving this valuable resource from being burned in energy from waste facilities, or potentially being sent to landfill.
  • Support a circular economy: By recycling your label liner, you’ll be helping to reduce the need for virgin material, saving both resources and CO2.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability: Taking part in the programme shows your customers that you are dedicated to reducing waste and minimising any environmental impact.

How it works:

  1. Contact our team on 01543 431070 to ask any questions you may have, or simply to request your Label Liner Recycling contract
  2. Once your signed contract has been returned to us, you can start collecting your clean, uncontaminated, label liner waste
  3. When your pallet is full of boxes of waste liner material, send it straight to us and we’ll take it from there
  4. We’ll check the contents for any contamination and store it with label liner returned from our other customers until we have a container full to send to the Paper Mill for recycling
  5. Your label liner is fully recycled in a pulping plant and turned back into new label release liner or paper – creating a true closed loop process

Joining our Label Liner Recycling programme is such a simple way to reduce your carbon footprint, minimise your use of resources and contribute to a more sustainable future, so why not start the process today?

We’d love for you to be a part of this.

Together, we can make a real difference.
