Martin as non-executive Chairman brings extensive and broad packaging experience following senior roles in blue-chip businesses such as Cadbury Schweppes, Amcor and Essentra Packaging.

Dr Adrian Steele is a Non-Executive Director, a Chartered Director and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. Adrian joined Mercian Labels in 2001.

Hugo is a Non-Executive Director and is a qualified member of the Institute of Directors. Hugo joined Mercian Labels in 2005.

Richard, as our General Manager, is responsible for all areas of operation and oversees the smooth running of the business.

Jean Michel brings a wealth of operational experience and is a qualified member of the Institute of Directors

As Head of Sales, Simon is responsible for overseeing all Sales and Marketing activities, and with over 39 years industry experience has an irrepressible enthusiasm for all things packaging.

As Sales Operations Manager, Trudy is responsible for the daily running of Mercian Labels’ busy sales department and its smooth operation. As a Customer Service Champion, Trudy ensures excellent service from enquiry to delivery.  

Helen runs our diligent finance team – if you have any questions about invoices or purchases, this is the team to talk to.

Lubica makes sure everything happens smoothly – calm, efficient, always willing to help and always cheerful, Lubica will make you believe it’s Friday even when it’s Monday!

Tony brings a wealth of labelling and security printing expertise to the team which, when combined with his exceptional leadership skills, maintains our unwavering focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Liam is responsible for the QHSE function at Mercian labels, including supplier quality, product quality, health and safety, the environment and critically, the implementation and management of our ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 17712 and BRCGS accreditations. Thanks to Liam they are all kept in top form, and our comments from auditors are consistently excellent!

Ali is our Production Scheduler, responsible for producing the complex master production schedules to ensure your tight deadlines are met. We pride ourselves on our OTIF record (On Time In Full), and Ali is the guardian of OTIF!

Mark deals with all of the ‘P’s in the Marketing Mix, and is responsible for getting our public image across to our customers; whether it’s sustainability, value, the Triple Bottom Line, engagement with our local community, or our full product offering – whatever it takes towards pointing you in the right direction for your best possible labelling solution.

Michael inspires us with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the training and development sphere. Michael is creating, developing and managing our ground-breaking ‘Mercian Academy’, ensuring that our people development and training are truly world-class.

If it’s technically challenging or complex and difficult, Jon will make it happen. From programming Variable Data to solving substrate and adhesive combinations, if it needs doing but hasn’t been done before, Jon is our first port of call. Want it solving? Jon’s your man.

Donna makes sure that the production lines are running efficiently, that all stock is being maintained in accordance with demand and that the plans are tightly controlled on a day to day basis.

Simon is one of our Business Development Managers, forging relationships with key buyers from large brands and retailers and offering invaluable advice. 33 years of knowledge of materials, adhesives, varnishes and laminates make him a powerhouse of expertise.

Jason is our in-house expert with over 25 years of experience in variable data, barcodes and medical labelling. He also controls all of our global Gammatex^® sterilisation indicator label sales.

Andy looks after a variety of Blue-Chip Key Accounts, making their most complex issues disappear as though they never existed, and delighting his clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions. His specialities lie in the e-cig and Pet Care sectors.

If you have contact with Simon Meikle and have any questions about your orders, Jane is your office contact. She will process your Purchase Orders and chase the various departments on your behalf. If things are reaching you in record times, thank Jane. If you need solutions, ask Jane. Jane has the answers!

Nic heads up the TSA team to ensure processing is smooth and accurate. She also drives innovative progress wherever it can be identified, so you receive perfect labels, right first time, every time.
