We have been in business continuously since 1969 – 55 years! Throughout that time, we have seen consistent growth, from humble beginnings in a small building in a rural village, to our current 24,000 square foot state of the art factory in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

Our technical expertise lies in both digital and flexographic label printing, including the production of high volumes of pre-printed variable data and barcode labels, the global LabelLock™ brand of tamper evident security labels and tape, and the Gammatex™ brand of chemical sterilisation indicator labels.

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. We are independently accredited to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) and are AA+ rated (the highest rating available) under the BRCGS (British Retail Consortium) certification for Packaging Materials, and we are the only security label manufacturer to have been accredited to the ISO17712:2013 for our LabelLock™ tamper evident security labels. Our executive directors are qualified members of the Institute of Directors, we are independently accredited to ISO 14001:2015 and are the only UK self-adhesive label manufacturer accredited to the Cyber Essentials PLUS standard, providing our customers with enhanced levels of data security in all areas of operation.

Mercian Labels are members of the Institute of Packaging, the Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA), the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), the Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA) among others.
